house clearance

Members of our Clear The Lot team recently completed a house clearance in a three-story building in Richmond, London. We want to make emptying out a house a much more sustainable practice using Clear The Lot. Our team would want to demonstrate how the work we do benefits the environment. We’ll demonstrate our high-quality service for salvaging all useable materials and reducing landfill waste.

We place a strong emphasis on reusability while cleaning out, and we generally locate a lot of furniture and other domestic decor in various states of wear and tear. Despite this, many of the goods just require minor repairs to extend their useful life. We discovered an organ, chinaware, clothing, and some lovely furniture, among other things, in this Richmond house clearance. We brought in an evaluator on the day of clearing to determine which items should be placed to auction and which should be donated.

Reaching the depot

When we were done cleaning up the house we make a point of going over the items that cannot be sold at auction or donated to charity and stripping them down to their component pieces. For example, we discovered a wardrobe that could be stripped down for its wood and the hinges used for their brass. We check to see if even the tiniest items can be reused.

Those items were subsequently returned to our Kingston depot to be appraised, and some were sorted for exhibition. Items can then be auctioned off, which helps our team raise funding to continue providing excellent service in areas like rubbish collection. We frequently come across items that can be donated to one of the many charities with whom we collaborate, including the British Red Cross, The Salvation Army, and The British Heart Foundation.

Achieving sustainability

Our goal is to maintain a zero-to-landfill strategy and build a more sustainable earth for future generations. A three-story home in Richmond like this one has enough goods that would normally be tossed into several skips and never used again. Everything will be recycled or reused with Clear The Lot.

We understand that there is always a better way to dispose of home waste. This is why, for the sixth year in a row, Clear The Lot has maintained a 5-star Trustpilot rating in six separate areas. We are always ready to get the job done quickly and efficiently because to our nationwide coverage, which extends from Portsmouth to Newcastle.
